Installing a green roof on a school building can be a complex and lengthy endeavor.  However, with proper research, administrative support, a dedicated project team, funding, and patience, schools can successfully navigate the process. Before taking on any green roof project, the school administration should determine if this is a priority for students, teachers, and the parent community. Also, consideration of long-term maintenance must be included in a green roof project proposal.
